ReStore, operated by Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity, is one of the largest reuse and recycle centers in Cuyahoga County.
Habitat for Humanity ReStore - Lorain County
The ReStore provides the public with outstanding bargains on gently used and sometimes new building and home items and materials. The ReStore provides an environmentally and socially responsible way to keep good, reusable materials out of the waste stream while providing funding for Habitat's community improvement work. The ReStore accepts donations of most household, renovation and home improvement items. Arrangements can be made for PICK-UP of larger items.
Lorain County Recycling
The Lorain County Solid Waste Management District provides information about the Collection Center at 540 S. Abbe Road in Elyria. The Center accepts e-scrap (electronics), scrap tires, household hazardous waste, fluorescent bulbs and ballasts. (Businesses and organizations are restricted to drop off of e-scrap, bulbs and ballasts only.)
